What you pay elsewhere, and we don't invoice

Two costs exist outside the Apoly subscription. We don't collect them and we don't mark them up. We would rather name them than let them appear on an invoice you weren't expecting.

  • Stripe fees

Your customers pay into your Stripe account. Stripe takes its fee on each transaction, directly, before the money reaches you. Apoly takes nothing along the way and doesn't see these payments. Rates depend on the payment method, the country of the card and your contract.

    Stripe's public pricing
  • A Medipim subscription, if you want one

Medipim is the Belgian product content database: photos, descriptions, composition, leaflets. If you want this content, you subscribe yourself, in your own name — the licence belongs to the subscribing pharmacy. We connect to your access. Without Medipim, your shop works with your own photos and your own texts.

    Medipim's public pricing

We publish no figures for these two providers: the prices are theirs, and they change without us.

What every plan includes

Your domain name.
The shop is called your-pharmacy.apoly.be, or your own domain if you have one.
Your bank account.
Your customers' payments come to you, directly. Apoly never touches the payments.
Your prices.
You set them. We don't suggest them, and we don't align them.
Your customers.
The customer file is yours. If you leave, you take it with you.
The safeguards.
Article 119 identity, medicines locked while your notification reference is missing, collection at the pharmacy for a medicine, no discount on a medicine: it is built in, not an option. Notifying the FAMHP (AFMPS) and the Order remains your step; Apoly does not do it for you.

Selling online, by the rules: what the law asks

Companies module

A private shop for the employees of a company in your area.

Included in Pro and Réseau. You open a reserved area, accessed with a code. Employees get a discount on parapharmacy there, negotiated with their employer. You gain regular customers who would not otherwise have come through your door.

  • The discount applies to parapharmacy only.

The law prohibits benefits linked to dispensing medicines — these stay at your usual public price.

  • The employer never sees its employees' purchases.

It receives an aggregated monthly invoice: an amount, a number of orders. Nothing else, ever.

  • The tax treatment of the employer's contribution

is a matter for the company's social secretariat. We don't take a position on it, and neither do you.

Questions you're going to ask

Because a commission on medicines, paid by a pharmacy to a company that is not a pharmacy, raises a problem of professional independence. We preferred a model that raises that question for no one. You know what you pay, every month, whatever your turnover.

You do. The payment account is yours, and the funds go straight into it. We invoice you a subscription, like any software supplier.

No, and we don't present it that way. It is exactly the monthly price, invoiced three months at a time. The only discount in the price list is the annual plan: two months free.

Because a pharmacy shop doesn't open by itself: importing your catalogue, setting up your legal identity, configuring your pricing and reviewing with you what is displayed before the first order. It is work done once, invoiced once, whichever billing period you choose.

They are out of scope. Your shop sells parapharmacy online, and offers non-prescription medicines and medical devices as reservations: the patient collects them and pays for them at the counter. Dispensing a prescription stays at the counter too.

To sell medicines online, yes: the pharmacist in charge notifies the site to the FAMHP (AFMPS) and the Order of Pharmacists within one month, and the FAMHP list shows notified online pharmacies. For the model in place today — reservation, collection and payment at the counter — the FAMHP writes that such a site is not an internet pharmacy and that article 29 does not apply to it: no notification would therefore be required, to be confirmed, a request for advice is pending. On Apoly, no medicine can be published without your notification reference. Details on the page « Vendre en ligne, en règle » (French and Dutch versions prevail).

Yes, and it is the cautious route, to be confirmed by the Order of Pharmacists: cosmetics and food supplements fall outside article 29. Your medicines stay blocked on Apoly until you enter your notification reference. Once published, they are not sold online: they are reserved, like every medical device, and paid for at the counter.

Apoly shows your pharmacy's identity on the shop, blocks your medicines while the notification reference is missing, keeps medicines and medical devices for collection and payment at the counter with no card hold, and applies no discount to them. Apoly does not notify on your behalf, authorises no sale, does not check your reference with the FAMHP and does not replace the advice of the Order. Still in progress: the official logo, package leaflets, article 29 notices and the FAMHP's advice on this model.

It depends on your catalogue and your pharmacy software. We give you a firm date at the demo, import included, and we keep to it.

Nothing to refund. For a parapharmacy purchase, card payment is only a hold: the card is charged when the order leaves your pharmacy, and an order not collected within the time you set is cancelled, hold released, at no cost. For a reservation of medicines or medical devices, nothing was ever requested online.

You get your catalogue and your customer file back, in a usable format. The subscription ends at the end of the paid period. If the domain is yours, it stays yours. No clause holds you back.

No. Apoly has no shop and never will — it is prohibited anyway: only a pharmacy can sell medicines. We sell software to pharmacists, not products to patients.
